My name is Shannon West. I am a Veteran of the United states Army. VERY recently my husband and I got seperated and are filing for divorce. My 2 beautiful kids are amazing but I want to provide so much more for them. My life was put on hold when I got back from overseas and met my husband. Things were changed drasticly for me. I no longer was in control of my life. I am very intelligent and could do so much more than working in a restaraunt but without a college degree I can not do to much. I put college and goals on the back burner so I could raise my family. But when my husband and I realized, after much work, that it was just not going to work out I had to take a career path. I am experienced in a lot of administrative stuff. In the military I was an admin assistant and patient administration. I tried to apply for jobs in the medical or office field and no one would touch me and said that military training is not the same as college education. So now I am ready to get a college education, work, take care of my kids, AND feel good about me again.
